This blog will feature regular updates on the sport of hacky sack, now commonly known as "footbag". The term Hacky Sack refers to a trademark owned by Wham-O.
Hacky Sack was invented in Oregon in 1972. The two men credited with its invention are John Stalberger and Mike Marshall. John Stalberger was recovering from knee surgery and so they both began kicking around a hand-made bean bag. Before long it became known as a sport!
