Vasek Klouda

Vasek Klouda is the current reigning world footbag champion. The incredible thing is how young he is now. He started playing at age 13 and is only 21 years old right now. Born in Prague, Vasek is one guy who could be considered a prodigy in today's world.

He set a record by winning 5 consecutive World Championships, a feat matched only by Peter Irish who won 5 Worlds but only 3 consecutively.

This blog will feature regular updates on the sport of hacky sack, now commonly known as "footbag". The term Hacky Sack refers to a trademark owned by Wham-O.

Hacky Sack was invented in Oregon in 1972. The two men credited with its invention are John Stalberger and Mike Marshall. John Stalberger was recovering from knee surgery and so they both began kicking around a hand-made bean bag. Before long it became known as a sport!
